Haggadah: Into the Sea

Why did the Egyptians follow Benei Yisraei into the Yam Suf, if they knew that HaShem was performing a special miracle for the Jews? Couldn't they see the Sea split for the Jews?

The Torah says that there was a cloud behind Benei Yisrael, and an angel in front of them. The cloud covered the Egyptians, so that they stumbled into the Yam Suf, thinking that it was dry land.
